Jewelry handmade from prickly pear cactus fiber. Each piece is made using a solid metal copy of dried cactus fiber.

This open signet cactus ring is a lovely botanical accessory for the desert lover. Signet rings designs are meant to hold special significance to the wearer. This natural interpretation of a signet ring symbolizes the Southwestern desert with a prickly pear cactus skeleton pattern.

The front of this handmade botanical ring is the framed prickly pear cactus skeleton pattern, with a slim solid band wrapping around the finger. This comfortable ring is a unique tribute to the subtle elegance of the botanical world.

Arrives in a Lila Clare Jewelry ring box. I recommend sizing up one half or one full size for the wide band rings. See my ring size kit to help with sizing questions.

Size

The front of the ring is a tad over 1/2" wide (15mm), and the band in the back is 1/8" wide (3mm). Whole and half sizes 4 - 10.

See my ring size kit to help with sizing questions!

Contact me for additional ring sizes other than those listed.

Materials

This botanical signet ring is solid 100% recycled sterling silver.

Story

This handmade signet cactus ring is made using actual Prickly Pear cactus skeletons (skeleton closeup shown). Using the lost wax casting process, each piece is a solid metal replica of a section of cactus skeleton.

Lila Clare Jewelry has been making unique jewelry from the dried cellulose skeleton of the prickly pear cactus since 2010.

Jewelry made from the desert

Each cactus piece is handmade using a lost wax casting process.

  1. I choose section of dried prickly pear cactus fiber (yep, the dried cellulose from inside the cactus).
  2. I make a mold of that piece of cactus fiber, then pour silver or gold into the mold.
  3. The result is a solid metal copy of the cactus fiber, which I then made into a unique piece of jewelry.

artisan made

Hi, I'm Clare, owner and maker of Lila Clare Jewelry. I make each piece of jewelry from the actual dried fibrous skeleton of the prickly pear cactus, resulting in artisan jewelry made in and from the southwestern desert. I have been making these unique jewelry pieces from the cactus skeleton since 2010.
